The so-called "three hearts" are poetic heart, childlike heart and Buddhist heart.
"Poetic Heart" is Feng Zikai's understanding and love of classical literature, especially ancient poetry. His writings include miscellaneous thoughts after reading poetry, and his paintings mostly use only a few strokes to point out the infinite artistic conception of poetry.
“Childlike Hearts” are all children created by Feng Zikai. Some are childhood portraits of his children, and some are moments of children that make people laugh. Together with prose written in the tone of children, the innocence of children is presented vividly and realistically to readers.
"Buddha's Heart" is a work in which Feng Zikai used his brush to record his understanding of Buddhism, selected from paintings and essays in the "Collection of Pictures for Protecting Life".
Feng Zikai's words and pictures are full of his gentle compassion and frankness. People who are used to being busy and impatient may be able to gain some relief and relaxation from these "three hearts".
The editors have carefully selected sixteen of Feng Zikai's essays and nearly six hundred paintings, and organized them according to the "three hearts", leading us on a journey of rereading Feng Zikai, accepting the comfort of his gentle lines, and looking for contemporary "relaxation".
