About the Author
Xu Jianrong (1949-), a famous art historian, art educator, calligraphy and painting appraiser, calligrapher and painter, is from Shanghai. He was successively taught by Mr. Wang Bomin, Mr. Xie Zhiliu, and Mr. Chen Peiqiu. He has been engaged in art history research, calligraphy and painting appraisal, and art education for a long time. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Shanghai University, a member of the 9th and 10th CPPCC of Shanghai, and enjoys the expert allowance of the State Council.
