Description
Introduction · · · · · ·
This book contains three articles by the famous French thinker Jean Baudrillard, namely "Carnival and Cannibals - Games of Worlds Against Each Other", "Ventriloquism in the Conclave", and "Why Everything Has Not Disappeared". The author imagines modernity as an adventure that began in Western Europe and a huge farce that was subsequently repeated all over the world, in all places where Western religious, technological, economic, and political values were imported. Under the global media-virtual-network monopoly or hegemony, human existence can obviously only be achieved at the cost of its own demise. He can only achieve immortality at the cost of his own disappearance at the technical level and integration into the order of digital technology.
