★“A love letter to my three children and my mother”
"Dear Scarlett, you told me the other day that you wanted to be a mother when you grow up. I said you can be anything you want...an artist, a doctor, a teacher...and also a mother."
★Break the rosy filter of childbirth and raise children, and present the real daily life of new mothers
"Every mother can do it, why can't I do it?" Pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, raising children, nothing is taken for granted, and no woman is born to be a mother.
★Companionship and encouragement to all readers who are mothers and women
“Never be afraid of your emotions. Even though they may seem overwhelming at times, there is strength that comes from vulnerability. Remember: there is a crack in everything, and that’s how light gets in.”
- Media Recommendation -
In a society that either retells the experience of women giving birth and raising children as a fairy tale or keeps it secret entirely, Darling Scarlett is a feat in itself.
—Sarah Glidden
This down-to-earth, candid, yet comforting memoir offers helpful advice to mothers in similar situations, and the emotions expressed in the book are sure to resonate with new parents.
——Publishers Weekly
In this comic book created specifically for her daughter, the author depicts emotions that go against the social conventions of having children... The intuitive expression form of comics also fits well with these experiences that urgently need to be told.
—The New York Times
