About the Author
Yoshimoto Banana (よしもとばなな)
Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1964, graduated from the Department of Literature, Faculty of Arts, Nihon University. In 1987, he won the Haiyan Newcomer Literature Award for his novel Kitchen. His other major works include Daisy Life, Hello Shimokitazawa, and Flower Bed Lunch Break. In 2000, he won the Italian Domag Literature Award for Unethical and South American. He has collaborated with the famous Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara to launch three works, Ruthless Misfortune, Argentine Mother-in-law, and Daisy Life. He enjoys a high reputation in Europe, America, and Asian countries.
