As a poet with pivotal and iconic significance in the contemporary poetry world, Zhai Yongming has long been deeply engaged in the exploration of poetry and other types of art, achieving the height of Chinese female poetry. This book is a collection of her recent poems, which not only continues the strong female consciousness of the past, but also generates countless new observations and thoughts that transcend it. This is not only a new start for female poetry that truly belongs to our era, but also sets a new paradigm for super-gender writing.
★ A selection of new poems from 2015 to 2021, a close observation of the times and the present, exploring the ancient propositions we will still face and the new problems in the 21st century
With the passion of a poet and the sense of responsibility of an intellectual, Zhai Yongming's works wander between current reality and eternal propositions, writing about current dilemmas, insisting on questioning history and the future, and bringing in his creative experience as a cross-border artist into his new works, constantly expanding the boundaries of poetry in new propositions and exploring a broader space for poetry.
★A brand new creative transformation, microcosmic life and macroscopic vision in 56 poems: questioning the universe and doomsday, interrogating artificial intelligence and gender pain, and forging a new white night
A play, a painting, an emotion, a dream, a concept, a technique. The poet shuttles back and forth between many topics such as daily details and future imaginations, individuals and a community of shared future for mankind. Focusing on the trivial desires and spiritual pursuits of mankind, with great passion and a hard soul texture, he seeks new poetic conflicts in continuous creation.
★The never-ending pursuit of poetry and poetic art: dedicated to the infinite minority
“I write for the changing and lasting gazes of this minority. Even if I only have one reader left, I still have reason to write for this infinite number of people to pursue vitality, extend beauty, and pursue infinite passion in the face of limited reality.”
