(Pier Paolo Pasolini, 1922-1975)
A famous director, poet, literary critic, and one of the most important Italian intellectuals of the 20th century. Pasolini was talented and produced many works throughout his life. He won many international film awards, which established his status as a world film master. He had extraordinary attainments and achievements in the fields of literature and art. During his lifetime, he published 17 poetry collections, directed 24 films, wrote 21 novels, plays and film scripts, and 6 collections of literary and social criticism.
Liu Guopeng
Associate Research Fellow, Institute of World Religions, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, PhD. Graduated from the Department of Philosophy, Peking University in 1996, received a PhD in Catholic Church History from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Milan, Italy in 2006, and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Paris III-Novo Sorbonne in 2008 Research. His research fields include the history of the modern and contemporary Catholic Church, comparative religion, and comparison of Chinese and Western cultures. He has written "Perseverance and the Localization of Chinese Catholicism" and translated "The Pleasure of Overturning the Boat: Selected Poems of Ungaretti" and Cheeks on Asphalt: Selected Poems of Oldani, Trieste and a Woman, etc.
