【Editor's recommendation】
George Dubuis loved art all his life and placed it on the same level of importance as the history he loved. He developed a great passion when exploring medieval historical sites and art treasures, and then, with his profound academic knowledge of medieval history, he completed this great work, The Cathedral Age: Art and Society (980-1420), in the 1960s.
Most of George Duby's works are aimed at professional readers and are quite difficult. However, this book "The Age of Cathedrals" is one of his rare works aimed at ordinary readers.
