"Genius on the Left and Madman on the Right: Complete Edition (Five Million Bestseller Commemorative Edition)" Introduction: This book is the story of a group of geniuses who have gone astray, and also the story of a group of madmen who are hospitalized for treatment. This book is the author Gao Ming's 4 years of in-depth contact with hundreds of "abnormal humans" in mysterious institutions such as hospital psychiatry and the Ministry of Public Security. He recorded the thoughts and ideas of people living in another corner of society (marginal people such as mental patients and people with mental disorders) in the form of interviews. This book is the first interview record of mental patients with humanistic feelings in China. The content of the dialogue with mental patients involves many fields such as physiology, psychology, Buddhism, religion, quantum physics, semiotics, Mayan civilization and prophecy. It shows the perspective of mental patients on the world and the profound views on life, which are unheard of but rigorously argued.
About the Author · · · · · ·
Gao Ming, male, Han nationality. Born in Beijing in the 1970s. Currently working as a project director for a company. He considers himself a stubborn person with an endless desire to explore the unknown. He has had the catchphrase "Why?" since preschool, which he still keeps on saying today. As an adult, he was once obsessed with religion, philosophy, quantum physics, nonlinear dynamics, psychology, biology and astrophysics. Since the 21st century, he has developed a strong curiosity about the inner world of mental patients, people with mental disorders and marginalized people.
Between 2004 and 2008, I used all my free time through various channels to visit mental hospitals, the Ministry of Public Security and other institutions, conducted close interviews with "abnormal people", and finally compiled the contents of this book.
