About the Author
Nigel Barley: PhD in Anthropology from Oxford University, former Director of the Museum of Mankind of the Ethnography Department of the British Museum. He is the author of Dancing on the Grave, Not a Hazardous Sport, Ceremony, The Duke of Puddle Dock, Smashing Pots, etc. He also wrote and hosted the TV series Native Land for Channel 4.
About the Translator
He Yingyi: Master of Journalism from National Chengchi University, researcher of comparative women's studies at the University of Wisconsin. She was a reporter, editor and translator for the United Daily News, creative director of Crystal Records, host of Taipei Voice and Philharmonic Radio. She is currently a book selection consultant for Business Weekly Publishing and a full-time translator. She has written Reeds in the Wind and Women Singing.
