About the Author
Sun Wen
Born in Fengrun, Hebei, with the courtesy name Runzhai and the pseudonym Bingyang Jushi, he was born during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. He began to conceive and start drawing the full map of "Dream of Red Mansions" in the sixth year of Tongzhi (1867), and it was not until the 29th year of Guangxu (1903) that it was roughly completed, a total of 36 years.
