Ulysses is known as the pioneering work of stream-of-consciousness novels. The author Joyce went against the traditional writing method and used extremely bizarre techniques to show the various things that happened in Dublin in 18 hours a day. He wrote a chapter for each hour, and the last chapter described the heroine's sexual psychology. The whole chapter only had two punctuation marks before and after, which can be called a literary masterpiece. In addition, the debate on whether this work is an obscene book has been brought to court twice in the West. After the ban was lifted, its influence was even greater. In 2000, some important British and American media unanimously listed Ulysses as one of the most influential masterpieces in the world in the 20th century.
