Chen Siyu studied at the Department of Visual Communication, Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University, and then became my proud student through graduate school. After graduation, she chose to go to the United States for further studies. She is introverted and delicate, elegant and unpretentious, and loving. She has been studying hard in the field of picture book art that she loves, and has been devoted to it for many years. In the past ten years of further study, she has not been tempted and influenced by too much commercial marketing. As always, she insists on her own "personal" picture book path, without too much exaggeration, and her brushwork is simple and delicate, full of spirituality. Her painting style inherits the decorative language of the old academy of arts and crafts, and has an international perspective and contemporary fashion. I believe it will be loved by readers, especially those born in the 1980s and 1990s.
This newly published picture book of "Classic of Mountains and Seas" surprised and pleased me. Her painting language is more mature, the modeling is more unique in its own style, the lines are smooth and coherent, and it has a high artistic appreciation value. It is a good book worthy of collection.
