Description
Introduction · · · · · ·
Paris' rich cultural heritage has spawned many historic brands, big and small, including shops opened by Polish princesses and Louis XV's royal pastry chefs, perfume shops founded by the prototypes of Balzac's novel characters, and tea merchants in the 19th century... The history of ancient brands, which has been compiled countless times, has become part of Paris's urban history, while the stories of young brands are fuller and more real. A glass artist who loves metal rock music, a jeans brand owner who chose to start a business after missing the college entrance examination, a fashion designer who decided to move to Paris to open a store just because of a business trip... This book is full of touching and surprises. It is suitable for everyone who yearns for Paris. This may not be the book that tourists who visit Paris for the first time should read, but as long as you are ready to understand the more real and multifaceted Paris, it is waiting to be opened by you.
This book showcases 20 shops/art spaces full of history, culture and design ingenuity hidden beneath the glitz and glamour of Paris. It explores the design display concepts, creative aesthetics and business rules of the managers, designers and artists, and restores the unique stories and styles hidden behind them for readers from the perspective of multiculturalism and historical changes.
