Lu Yao (December 2, 1949 - November 17, 1992)
Born in northern Shaanxi in 1949, he entered the Chinese Department of Yan'an University in 1973 and began his literary creation. In 1982, he published Life, which caused a sensation across the country. In 1988, he completed all three parts of Ordinary World and won the third Mao Dun Literature Award in 1991.
