Description
Introduction · · · · · ·
What I Talk About When I Talk About Running is Haruki Murakami's most popular essay collection. When he started his career as a writer, Haruki Murakami also started long-distance running. From Kauai Island in Hawaii to Cambridge in Massachusetts; from the Ironman Triathlon in Murakami to the ancient Greek marathon long-distance running trail, he is always running.
"Pain is inevitable, but suffering is a choice." Whenever Murakami runs long distances, this sentence comes to his mind again and again. Actively choosing suffering means taking the initiative in life into your own hands. He compiled what he thought while running on the road over the years into a book, writing honestly about running and life.
"What I Talk About When I Talk About Running" (2015 Collector's Edition) contains 14 precious photos, recording Haruki Murakami's 25 years of running and life journey. It has a brand new design and exquisite binding, taking you into Haruki Murakami's runner's world.
