Introduction · · · · · ·
"I was born with a disability. I couldn't walk before I was eight years old. After that, I sat on a bamboo stool, but I couldn't do anything for a long time. I saw a bunch of ants coming out of their nest. Each ant picked a piece of leaf from a large leaf and carried it on its back. They lined up in a single line and walked back to the nest. I watched this scene for an hour. It was like watching an interesting drama. I also discovered the wisdom of ants. This method is called "self-distraction", finding a place to settle down by yourself."
"To be honest, I haven't had a good life. I was born with a disability, and I've been sick for decades. If I hadn't walked inward, I wouldn't be alive today... If we can build our inner selves, no longer pursue short-lived happiness and vain joy, our actions and emotions will be able to reach the world and the soul."
The 90-year-old historian Xu Zhuoyun tells us from his personal experience: Only by going inward can we settle ourselves.
If you always feel tired of living, then open this book and start to calm your mind from today.
