It introduces the course of exchanges between China and Italy from the ancient Roman period to 1911, traces the prominent stages in the history of relations between the two countries, presents representative figures in the ideological and cultural exchanges between the two countries, focuses on analyzing the changes in the image of the two countries in each other's minds, and narrates the most prominent and interesting events in the process of exchanges between the two countries, composing a moving chapter of the spread of Western learning to the East and Chinese learning to the West.
