● From students to scientists, from new employees to business leaders, from housewives to artists, everyone is affected by procrastination. Based on their acclaimed and groundbreaking procrastination workshops and rich theories and experiences drawn from many fields of psychological counseling, Jane Bock and Lenora Yuan have conducted a detailed, careful, and sometimes humorous exploration of procrastination.
● In this book, the author identifies the four most likely reasons for procrastination: lack of confidence in success, dislike of being assigned tasks, distraction and impulsiveness, and goals and rewards that are too far away. This book analyzes the deep-seated reasons behind procrastination and studies brain neuroscience, allowing us to re-understand procrastination and understand how to take action in a whole new way.
● This book also provides us with a series of methods to overcome procrastination, such as achieving goals, managing time, seeking support and dealing with stress. The solutions they provide are very practical and have been tested in practice. In addition, this book also takes into account the contemporary cultural demands of the ever-accelerating pace of work and life, as well as the impact of problems such as attention deficit disorder and executive dysfunction on procrastination, and even provides a lot of practical suggestions for people who live and work around procrastinators.
