Introduction · · · · · ·
Did the British Empire thrive because of borrowing money?

Does “maintaining neutrality” mean “opposing war”?

Is Viking plunder actually a form of trade?

How has printing influenced the way we do business today?

This book tells the "unknown" world history, seeing the big picture from the small, looking at the macro history from the micro perspective, and bringing us a new perspective on world history. Different from the simple accumulation of historical knowledge, it allows us to grasp the pulse of human civilization behind the appearance.
