Wang Shuzeng was born in Beijing in 1952. He is the author of long-form documentary literature, including The Korean War, The Long March, The Liberation War, and 1901. His works have won the Chinese People's Liberation Army Literature and Art Award, the China Publishing Government Award, the Central Propaganda Department's "Five Ones" Project Award for Spiritual Civilization Construction, the Lu Xun Literature Award, the Chinese People's Liberation Army Literature and Art Award, and the Cao Yu Drama Literature Award.
