Description
Introduction · · · · · ·
The last writings of Singapore's founding father, with insights into the world and life, now available in a new hardcover collector's edition.
This book is by no means a dry treatise on geopolitics, nor is it a report on the twists and turns of global affairs.
Lee Kuan Yew has been closely involved in international affairs throughout his life. In this book, he draws on his rich experience and deep insight to offer his views on the world today and what it might look like in 20 years. In contrast, in a wide-ranging narrative spanning the United States, China, Asia, and Europe, he dissects their societies, explores the psychology of their people, and draws conclusions about the future of these countries.
Lee Kuan Yew's frank and often surprising views make this book a fresh and fascinating read; it also explores his long-standing concern for the future of Singapore, and gives readers a glimpse into his private life and his views on death. Each chapter is also interspersed with his Q&A interview with The Straits Times to help readers further understand his views.
