The most interesting author I have read in twenty years.
——Gore Vidal (American writer)
Jeanette Winterson is a master of the genre, a writer of extraordinary talent.
——Muriel Spark (British writer)
She doesn’t put on airs and just wants to write honestly about what she wants to write, which I find very inspiring.
——Sarah Waters (British writer)
Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit is undoubtedly the entrance to Winterson's novel world. The story begins here. And all the stories are actually here. Like her other novels, this is a smart and interesting novel.

Jeanette Winterson
One of the best and most controversial writers of our time.
Born in Manchester, England in 1959, he was adopted by a religious couple. There were six books in his home at that time, and "The Death of King Arthur" inspired Winterson's desire for books and writing.
In 1978, Winterson fell in love with a girl and ran away from home. She stayed and worked in funeral homes and mental hospitals, but still got into the English Department of Oxford University with all A grades.
In 1985, her debut novel Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit was published and won the Whitbread First Book Award. The BBC series of the same name adapted by her was also well received and won various international awards.
