This book is the embodiment of Borges's book worship complex, symbolizing the infinite universe and world. People try their best to break through the unknown, but in the end they experience infinity and confirm their own insignificance. "If space is infinite, we are at any point in space. If time is infinite, we are at any point in time." Philosophical and metaphysical thinking on concepts such as infinity, possibility, death, memory and time are contained in each article.

Jorge Luis Borges (1899-1986) was an Argentine poet, novelist, critic, translator and master of Spanish literature.
Born on August 24, 1899 in Buenos Aires, he traveled to Europe with his family as a teenager.
In 1923, he published his first poetry collection, "Buenos Aires Passion", in 1925, he published his first essay collection, "Explorations", and in 1935, he published his first short story collection, "The Villain's Biography", which gradually established his position in the Argentine literary world. His representative poetry collections, "Notes of San Martín" and "The Golden Color of the Tiger", his novel collections "The Garden of Forking Paths" and "Aleph", and his essay collections "The History of Eternity" and "Other Explorations", have won him international reputation. He has translated works by writers such as Oscar Wilde, Woolf, and Faulkner.
He was the director of the National Library of Argentina and a professor of literature at the University of Buenos Aires. He has won many literary awards, including the Argentine National Literature Award, the Formentor International Publishing Award, the Jerusalem Prize, the Balzan Prize, the Chino del Duca Prize, and the Cervantes Prize.
He died of illness in Geneva, Switzerland on June 14, 1986.
Wang Yongnian is a famous translator from Dinghai, Zhejiang Province. He graduated from St. John's University in Shanghai. He is proficient in English, Russian, Spanish, Italian and other languages. He has been a Russian teacher in middle school and a foreign literature editor. Since 1959, he has been a Spanish translator for Xinhua News Agency and has been stationed in Mexico and other Spanish-speaking countries. His Spanish literature translations include poems and essays by Pablo Neruda, The General in His Labyrinth by Gabriel Garcia and Marquez, Jerusalem's Liberation, The Decameron, The Complete Novels of O. Henry, East of Eden, On the Road and many other famous works.
