Description
Introduction · · · · · ·
"Fuzhuo" is based on the emotional experience between rural youth Jinsuo and Xiaoshui, describing the problems exposed in the initial stage of reform and opening up, as well as the impetuous state of the entire society and the emptiness beneath the impetuous surface. "Fuzhuo" is the first of the author's "Shang Zhou Series", which established Jia Pingwa's position as a powerful figure in the literary world. Just like "Feicui" and "Qinqiang" later, the book caused a sensation as soon as it was published and won the American Literature Award.
