Description
Introduction · · · · · ·
All questions about death are good questions, but the most direct and bold questions come from children.
This book is about Caitlin Doughty, a legendary American funeral director who is willing to answer all kinds of strange questions. From all the questions she received about death, she selected the most unique and interesting questions and answered them one by one. These questions all came from children.
This book starts with children's questions and helps us face and understand death.
Don't worry about the depressing atmosphere, the children's questions are far beyond our imagination, and Caitlin Doughty uses her unique humor and wit to resolve the heaviness of the topic of death, combining her professionalism with respect for the dead, and tells us everything she knows about these issues.
So, having said that, is exploring death a “perverted” or “abnormal” behavior?
In our environment, most of the time, we grow up with the fear of death, avoid talking about death, suppress our curiosity, and even accuse others of not paying attention to death.
Most people are "illiterate" when it comes to death, but in fact "ignorance" makes us even more afraid.
Death is indeed painful, the departure of a loved one or our farewell to this world, etc. But death is also a fact, and each of us must face death, and it will not change just because we don't like it.
Caitlin Doughty said she hopes that by embracing and learning about death, we can control the spread of terror.
For adults, this book can be a light read to satisfy our curiosity about death; for children, it is also an introductory book to understand death from a child's perspective.
So, follow the children's questions and Caitlin Doughty's answers to learn about the knowledge and stories about corpses and death.
I would also like to dedicate this book to the corpses of all ages in the future!
The book comes with 36 black-and-white illustrations of Mexican style (the style is quite unique and fun!)
