Edward Berman is a famous British writer. When he wrote the book "Two Thousand Years of Terracotta Warriors", he received support and help from the Shaanxi Cultural Relics Bureau. Edward spent nearly three years visiting Qin Dynasty cultural relics and historic sites, interviewing dozens of Qin historians and archaeological experts, and writing a lot of interview notes. On this basis, Edward also consulted many Chinese, English, French and other multilingual works related to the history of the Qin Dynasty, and even consulted the works of 18th-century French sinologists. He also asked people to translate a large number of domestic archaeological reports into English, and only started writing after careful study.
The book consists of three parts: the history of Qin, the mystery of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum and the Terracotta Warriors, and the latest archaeological discoveries and research trends of the Qin Terracotta Warriors. It cites many studies and many unpublished archaeological photos, making it the most representative research work on the history of the Qin Dynasty and the Terracotta Warriors in recent years. The book cites more than 200 references alone and is the most important book in the English-speaking world that introduces the history of the Qin Dynasty and the Terracotta Warriors. During the publication of the Chinese version of the book, it once again received strong support from the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau and rigorous review from the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Museum.
