Is there an answer between good and evil?
Although not everyone needs to answer such a meaningful question, events related to good and evil may happen around us every day, and we must decide what moral perspective to adopt and what moral stance to take.
The wheel was invented to facilitate the transport of objects with minimal friction. Morality was constructed to serve the needs of human survival and the desire for prosperity and happiness. Ideal morality should serve as a blueprint for personal happiness and social harmony.
About the Author
Louis P. Pojman is Professor of Philosophy Emeritus at the Military Academy at West Point and a Life Member of Clare Hall, Cambridge University. He received his Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Union Theological Seminary, Columbia University, and his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Oxford University. He has written and edited more than 30 books and more than 100 articles.
James Fieser is a professor of philosophy at the University of Tennessee at Martin. He has written, edited, and co-authored 10 textbooks, including A History of Western Philosophy: Socrates to Sartre and Beyond.
