【Celebrity Recommendation】
Brecht is that very rare phenomenon of a great poet for whom poetry is almost a daily visit and a breath… There is no doubt that the two great German poets of the first half of this century are Rilke and Brecht.
--George Steiner
Brecht is undoubtedly the greatest living German poet and probably the greatest living German dramatist. He is the only poet who can be compared with Kafka and Bloch in German literature, Joyce in English literature and Proust in French literature.
—Hannah Arendt
