John Broadus Watson (1878-1958) was born on January 9, 1878 in Travers Rest near Greenville, South Carolina, USA. He is a famous American psychologist and the founder of behaviorism psychology. At the age of 25, he served as the director of the psychology laboratory at the University of Chicago. At the age of 35, he founded behaviorism psychology, which caused a lasting revolution in psychology in the early 20th century. In 1915, he was elected president of the American Psychological Association. Watson's main research areas include behaviorism psychology theory and practice, emotional conditioning and animal psychology. He was the first person in the United States to use Barthel's research results as the basis of learning theory.
