Liu Xing is from Beijing. He is Qian Duansheng Chair Professor at China University of Political Science and Law. He has been a visiting scholar in the United States. He has published academic monographs such as "Law and Literature: Unfolding in China's Grassroots Judicial System" and "What is Law", and has published several papers in academic journals such as "Social Sciences in China", "Legal Studies", and "China Legal Studies". He also has a column on legal essays in newspapers and magazines such as "Southern Weekend", "Legal Daily", and "Wenhui Daily".
