Description
Introduction
The most confusing thing about mathematics is why it is like this and what its use is. Many people don’t understand it even after graduating from college. This set of books perfectly explains the essence of mathematics and closely links mathematics with life.
13 basic mathematical ideas, layer by layer, perfectly explain the essence of mathematics. Two dwarfs run through the whole text, with pictures and texts, telling stories, making puzzles, and playing games. The mathematical concepts behind the games allow children to approach mathematics in the simplest and most scientific way and fall in love with mathematics! It not only teaches arithmetic, but also inspires thinking methods of looking at things and solving problems from different angles, cultivates children's logical thinking ability, and improves their comprehensive quality.
The most classic work of Mitsumasa Anno, the winner of the Hans Christian Andersen Award and the author of "Travel Picture Book". It breaks the boring and stereotyped impression of mathematics, combines science and art, and carefully draws beautiful pictures to let children appreciate the dual beauty of science and art. Won the Japan Mathematical Society Publishing Award, the Japan Sankei Children's Publishing Culture Award, and was selected by the Japan National School Library Association. The Japanese version has been reprinted up to 150 times. "Enter the Wonderful World of Mathematics 1-3 (Set of 3 Volumes)" has 104 pages per volume (4-5 chapters, each chapter focuses on a mathematical idea). The book is accompanied by an explanatory text written by Mitsumasa Anno himself, which provides a detailed supplement to the mathematical knowledge involved. It is highly extensible and inspiring. Carefully selected high-quality paper for printing, as close to the original paper as possible, with delicate texture and soft colors, striving to perfectly present the beautiful and warm picture world of Anno.
