Introduction · · · · · ·
In his famous work, The Origin of Species, Darwin openly admitted that his theory of evolution had major flaws, namely, it could not explain the Cambrian explosion of life. Because no fossils or evidence of its precursors or intermediate transition states could be found, it became a question that Darwin regretted for the rest of his life. In Darwin's Question, Stephen Meyer discusses the mysterious issue of the "Cambrian explosion of life" in a clear, truthful, rigorous, comprehensive, logical and informative way. The manuscript revolves around the main theme and presents various evidences of serious errors in the "theory of evolution", positively affirming the theory of intelligent design. It scientifically proves that life originated from a scientific intelligent design movement, rather than natural selection and evolutionary breakthroughs.
Darwin's Question clearly and accurately describes all aspects of the Cambrian Explosion and the Origin of Life. His book points the way in the right direction for the game changers in the study of evolution in their quest for a new theory of the origin of animals. Extending the compelling arguments made in his previous book, Signatures of the Cell, Meyer argues for the theory of intelligent design, which holds that certain features of the universe and life can be intelligently designed rather than by unguided processes such as natural selection, as the best explanation for the origin of life in the Cambrian.
The book Darwin's Question consists of three parts: the first part, the mystery of missing fossils, tells Darwin's theory of biological evolution and explains Darwin's doubts about the origin of life during the Cambrian explosion. Scientists cannot find prehistoric fossil evidence to support Darwin's theory of evolution; the second part, how to create animals, analyzes biological evolution from the perspectives of genes, protein macromolecules, and epigenetics; the third part, what comes after Darwin? It proposes the theory of intelligent design and analyzes its feasibility in a case-based scientific manner.
