Introduction
In 1984, the world was divided up by three superpowers - Oceania, Eurasia and Eastasia. There were constant wars among the three countries, and the internal social structures of the three countries were completely broken. They all implemented highly centralized rule, using extreme means such as changing history, changing language (such as "Newspeak"), and breaking up families to control people's thoughts and instincts, using "telescreens" with surveillance and eavesdropping functions to control people's behavior, and maintaining the functioning of society through personality cult of the leader and hatred of domestic and foreign enemies.
The country of Oceania where the protagonist lives in the story has only one political party - English Socialism, or IngSoc in Newspeak. Society is also divided into three classes according to their relationship with the party: core party members, peripheral party members, and proletarians (the masses). The government is divided into four departments: the Ministry of Peace is responsible for armaments and war, the Ministry of Love is responsible for maintaining order, suppression, and torture, the Ministry of Truth is responsible for propaganda, culture and education, and falsification of history, and the Ministry of Plenty is responsible for production and distribution. In Newspeak, they are abbreviated as the Ministry of Peace, the Ministry of Love, the Ministry of Truth, and the Ministry of Plenty.
Winston, an outer party member who was engaged in falsifying history in the "Ministry of Truth" of Oceania, became a thought prisoner because he gradually doubted the society he was in and its leader "Big Brother" (Big Brother) in his work, and developed feelings for another outer party member Julia. After undergoing ideological transformation in the "Ministry of Love" which was responsible for internal cleansing, he finally became a "pure thought".

George Orwell, whose real name was Eric Arthur Blair.
He left behind a large number of works for future generations. Just taking Animal Farm and 1984 as an example, his influence is immeasurable. In fact, there is a special word in modern English called "Orwellian" to refer to some social phenomena described by Orwell. If it is said that the works throughout Orwell's life mainly reflect the two themes of "poverty" and "politics", then the main motivation that inspired him to write like this was conscience and sincerity. In January 1950, Orwell died of illness at the age of 46.
