Introduction
The compilation of World Design History began in March 2010. It was originally planned to be completed by teachers from the School of Design of China Academy of Art, but considering the arduous task and the lack of manpower, we specially invited more than ten professionals including Professor Yuan Xuanping of Zhejiang University of Technology, Dr. Li Jiang of Beijing Normal University, and Dr. Ding Chaohong of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology to participate in this work. The entire organization work started with Zheng Juxin proposing the purpose of writing and the content framework of the whole book, then Chen Jing was responsible for collecting manuscripts, and then Zheng Juxin and He Zhenji compiled and approved the manuscripts. The first print was completed in 2013. After two rounds of feedback, the first print was revised, confirmed, and supplemented by the author. Finally, in August 2014, Zheng Juxin implemented the publication and Yuan Youmin designed the book frame.
About the Author
Zheng Juxin, male, born in February 1964, is a second-level professor and doctoral supervisor. He is a well-known scholar who has been active in the field of art design in my country for a long time. He is the director of the Cultural Heritage Research Center, a key research base for humanities and social sciences in Zhejiang Province. He has been selected as a training target for young and middle-aged academic leaders in Zhejiang Province’s colleges and universities, and a second-level training personnel for Zhejiang Province’s 151 talents. He is currently the leader of the Design Art Discipline at the China Academy of Art, the dean of the Department of Design Art at the China Academy of Art [2], and a professor and part-time doctoral supervisor at the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of the Macau University of Science and Technology.
