——Li Shenzhi, former vice president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and a renowned international affairs expert
In Chinese philosophy, I recommend Mr. Feng Youlan's "A Brief History of Chinese Philosophy". It is a very short book that talks about the basic process and problems of the development of Chinese philosophy. It was originally written for Americans and is very easy to understand. It is the most basic book for students whose major is not philosophy. There is no other book like it in the world.
——Chen Lai, famous scholar and dean of the School of Chinese Studies at Tsinghua University
