Published by Penguin Random House, one of the most inspiring books of the year by The Independent.

The 100-year-old life of a 17-year-old girl, the countdown to the end of the May ward and a conversation between people of different ages.

How to choose between loving bravely and living an ordinary life so as to have no regrets in this life?

-

This is a warm and unique healing novel, telling the story of a friendship between two people 66 years apart. The encounter between the two brought back passion and madness to their life that had been as quiet as stagnant water.

Lennie, 17, was dying, and she didn't know how many years she had spent in the hospital; Margot, 83, was dying, and she didn't know how many years she had spent in the hospital because she was old and had no family to take care of her. The two met in a painting class in the hospital, and the sum of their ages was exactly 100 years. A "clever plan" was born: they decided to paint the past 100 years, one painting for each year.

As a result, Margot's rough and turbulent life gradually unfolds, and the truth that Lennie was abandoned by her relatives comes to light. The two people who were originally "waiting to die" begin to re-examine their lives and think about the relationship between death and life because of each other's appearance.
