Introduction
No Longer Human means losing the qualification to be a human being. This is the last work of Dazai Osamu and also his most important work. The book consists of the author's preface, postscript and three notes of the protagonist Ohba Yozo. It describes the protagonist's life from adolescence to middle age, experiencing self-exile, alcoholism, suicide, and paralysis with drugs, and finally step by step towards the tragedy of self-destruction.
