"Being an Idle Person: Su Dongpo's Healing Theory" is a work by the famous cultural scholar Professor Fei Yong, who interprets Su Dongpo from the perspective of modern people. Su Dongpo is a shining star in the history of Chinese culture, but his life was full of ups and downs, he was in a difficult situation, but he never changed his optimistic nature.
Although Su Dongpo lived in a different era and had a different identity from us, he had to face the troubles, uncertainty and impermanence of fate of ordinary people just like us. He also suffered, was confused and even desperate, but in the end he used a broad-minded "leisure mind" to guard the space of his heart, dissipated all the hardships, and lived happily and transparently.
This book uses Su Dongpo's life experience as the warp and his poems and articles as the weft, outlining Su Dongpo's rich and bumpy life, and uniquely proposes the life philosophy of "being an idler", allowing readers to follow Su Dongpo in the happy bag of "a zither, a pot of wine, and a stream of clouds", feel the optimistic and open-minded spirit, understand the wisdom of life, and thus be healed of the soul.
