Introduction
* Does she love anything other than herself and her life? *
Bao Er, who is nearly 40 years old, is an interior designer and has a cheating lover named Roger. At work, Bao Er meets the young Simon, who declares to her:
"In the name of the deceased, I accuse you of ignoring love, neglecting the responsibility of pursuing happiness, escaping blindly, muddling through, and being submissive. You should be sentenced to death, and you will be sentenced to lifelong loneliness."
Bao Er chooses between "modern" life and classical love.
About the Author
Francoise Sagan
Françoise Sagan (1935-2004)
A talented French female writer, a synonym of youth for a generation. With a beautiful appearance, a sensitive heart and a talent for avoiding the important, she likes writing, horse racing, car racing, drinking, making friends in the entertainment and political circles, and letting herself be entangled in lawsuits.
At the age of 18, she won the French Critics Award for her novel "Hello, Sadness". In her lifetime, she published 20 novels, 11 plays, several short stories and essays, and also participated in the creation of films and songs.
At the age of 63, she wrote her own eulogy: "In 1954, she made her debut with a slim novel, Hello, Sadness, which became a world scandal. Her life and her works were as cheerful and frivolous, and her disappearance became a scandal that belonged only to her."
