Description
Introduction · · · · · ·
In the 20 years since the beginning of the 21st century, financial globalization has continued to deepen, and every country is a participant in it. For developing countries, is financial globalization an opportunity or a trap? Why can developed countries continue to be strong, while underdeveloped countries are often plagued by disasters? Under what logic is the world operating in the context of financial globalization?
After a long and in-depth investigation and research on representative developing countries (i.e., the emerging seven countries), Wen Tiejun's team once again wrote and summarized the experiences and lessons of these countries in their development. The seven countries selected for this study include: China and Turkey, which are increasingly moving towards financial globalization; India and Indonesia, where rural areas are widely distributed, the degree of organization is low, and the industrial economy is difficult to form scale competitiveness; and Brazil, Venezuela and South Africa, which have always been constrained by the "single" economy, failed to complete industrialization, and over-reliant on the export of raw materials, and suffered severe shocks from the international economic downturn.
Seven countries, seven stories. Although their development paths, development models and current situations are different, observing them together can restore the true face of the world pattern. This has profound reference significance for understanding the historical destiny of general developing countries and how to get out of development difficulties.
