About the Author
Zhao Yong is a professor at the School of Literature, Beijing Normal University. He has worked at the Center for Literature and Art Studies, School of Literature, Beijing Normal University since 2002. His main research directions are: basic literary theory, popular culture theory and criticism, and Western literary theory. He has published books such as Aesthetic Reading and Criticism, Integration and Subversion: The Dialectics of Popular Culture - Popular Culture Theory of the Frankfurt School, etc. He is the host of the major project of the Ministry of Education on Humanities and Social Sciences, "The Impact of Popular Culture and the Transformation of Chinese Literature in the New Century".
