About the Author
Otsuichi (1978- ) is a Japanese novelist and director. He won the 6th JUMP Novel Award in 1996 and the 3rd Honkaku Mystery Award in 2003. His novel Zoo, published in the same year, was selected as one of the "Top Ten Mystery Novels" by Weekly Bunshun in 2003 and was adapted into the movie Five Stories to Live On in 2005.
