The latest novel by writer Sun Ganlu. A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains salvages secret and great historical events from Shanghai in the 1930s, and uses literature to imagine and present its process. The author molds soil into bones and mud into flesh, reuniting the idealists scattered in the dust of history with their spirit and flesh, and bowing down to join the game in the anxious and chaotic world. They are fathers, lovers, and brothers, and they start an unfathomable journey in the dark night. In the darkest moment of loneliness, what a person sees and what he is willing to see will determine what kind of person he will become.
