About the Author
Fang Tie is a second-level professor and special-post professor at Yunnan University, a doctoral supervisor, and an expert in the discipline planning and review group of the National Social Science Fund. He has long been researching the regional history of Yunnan, the history of the southwestern border, and the history of China's border governance. He was the director of the Southwest Border Minority Research Center of Yunnan University, a key research base for humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education. He also served as vice president of the Chinese Society for the History of Sino-Foreign Relations, vice president of the Chinese Society of Mongolian History, executive director of the Chinese Society for Southwest Ethnic Studies, and director of the Chinese Society of Ethnic History. He has written books such as "Strategies and Governance: The Management of the Southwestern Border by Successive Dynasties", "Exploration of the History of Frontier Ethnic Groups", and "New Exploration of the History of Frontier Ethnic Groups". He has edited books such as "General History of the Southwest" and co-authored books such as "General History of Tibet". He has published more than 100 papers in journals such as "Social Science Front".
