Lectures on the History of Philosophy, one of Hegel's most brilliant works. - Engels
Only with Hegel did the history of philosophy become an independent science for the first time. - Windelband
"Lectures on the History of Philosophy" is one of the representative works of German classical philosopher Hegel. It is the pioneering work of "History of Philosophy" and a must-read book for those who study philosophy. On the one hand, Hegel incorporated the history of philosophy into the framework of his objective idealism system, and attributed the history of philosophy to the absolute spiritual stage of the return of ideas to themselves; on the other hand, he implemented dialectics in the study of the history of philosophy, and profoundly revealed the laws of development of the history of philosophy. In the 1950s and 1960s, Mr. He Lin, Mr. Wang Taiqing and others translated it into Chinese and published it, which was an important achievement of Mr. He Lin's translation of Hegel. This time, it is included in the "Complete Works of He Lin", which has been newly proofread and re-typeset. Some texts have been revised according to Mr. He Lin's handwriting, and the problems of different formats in the Commercial Press due to the long time between publications have been solved, making it more suitable for current reading.
