Description
Introduction · · · · · ·
Adam Smith's The Wealth of Nations, originally translated as "An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations", has shocked the academic world since its publication in 1776. Even the rulers of various countries have taken it as a guiding principle. Every economist, big or small, in the world has been directly or indirectly influenced by it. Those who praise it to the point of no further praise, even those who claim to be Smith's followers, will take out a few chapters and sentences from it to criticize; on the contrary, those who criticize it to the point of no further criticism, even those who openly oppose Smithism, have all adopted a few opinions from it as their fundamental thoughts.
