△No matter how excellent one’s academic qualifications are, the most important thing for women is appearance?
△No matter how independent your thoughts are, is it smart to agree with men?
△No matter how successful your career is, you can only be happy by being a good wife and mother?
Japanese artist Haruka Yoko deeply felt these "wrongs" in the entertainment industry. In order to solve her inner doubts and win the verbal battles on variety shows, she entered Japan's top university, the University of Tokyo, to learn feminist sociology from Chizuko Ueno, a sociologist who has enlightened countless people and is "the most terrifying woman in Japan."
What if you can't remember the literature? She tells you: "Try to forget it. What you can remember in the end is truly valuable." What if you can't win the discussion? She tells you: "What you need to learn is not how to win with one move, but how to play with the other party." Professor Ueno always points out the students' misconceptions in thinking, guides them to consolidate the theoretical foundation, and constantly digs into the core of the problem with sensibility and intuition, using feminist thinking to break the existing framework and find their own answers.

Editor's Recommendation:
1. Chizuko Ueno is very popular in China and is the feminist enlightenment mentor for countless people. She is called "the most terrible woman in Japan" because she always wins in "bloody" academic debates and "kills" many male scholars. Who doesn't want to ask such a handsome professor Ueno for advice on the correct posture of "arguing"? Through this book, you can not only feel the personal charm of Professor Ueno up close, but also learn how to read literature, the skills to win discussions, and how to practice feminism in life!
2. In this book, Haruka Yoko provides a cross-border perspective. On the one hand, she is an artist who is accustomed to the "normal" of the Japanese entertainment industry. Through her words, we can see the current situation where female artists are corroded by age and appearance anxiety and their personal abilities are not valued; on the other hand, she is a disciple of Professor Chizuko Ueno. Through her personal experience, we can see the most cutting-edge academic landscape and how the students of the University of Tokyo "fight" on the road to becoming scholars.
3. What is the use of studying? What will happen if you learn? This may be the confusion of many people on the road to study. Through the study experience of Haruka Yoko as a student of Professor Chizuko Ueno, we can feel the resonance of women's experience and the inheritance of women's thoughts. We can see that learning theoretical knowledge is not for self-interest, but the determination to spread feminism at any opportunity. Through their actions, we deeply understand the significance of studying and researching sociology, and point out the direction for confused people.
