About the Author
◎ Author
Richard H. Wilkinson (1951-), an archaeologist in the field of Egyptology, is a professor emeritus and doctor at the University of Arizona, and the first director of the university's Egypt Expedition. He has conducted research and excavations in Egypt, mainly in the Valley of the Kings, for 25 years, and served as the founding editor of the "Directory of North American Egyptologists" and the "Journal of Ancient Egypt Communications".
Translator
Yan Haiying is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Department of History of Peking University, director of the Institute of Ancient Oriental Civilizations of Peking University, editor-in-chief of the first volume of "History of World Civilization", postdoctoral fellow at the University of Leuven in Belgium, and visiting scholar at Cairo University in Egypt. Her academic expertise is Egyptology. Her recent major works include "Ancient Egyptian Cultural Relics in Chinese Collections" and she has published many papers in academic journals such as "Historical Research" and "World History". She has presided over the National Social Science Fund project "Research on Ancient Egyptian Temple Books and Rituals", the horizontal project "Organization and Interpretation of Oriental Philosophical Books", and the Beijing Excellent Course "Ancient Oriental Civilization".
Zhao Kexin, a PhD in history, graduated from Peking University with a research focus on Egyptology.
