About the Author

Lin Haiyin (1918-2001) is a famous Taiwanese female writer. Her original name was Lin Hanying, and her nickname was Yingzi. She was originally from Miaoli, Taiwan, and was born in Osaka, Japan in 1918. In 1923, she moved to Beijing with her parents and settled in the south of Beijing. In 1948, she left Beijing and returned to her hometown, Taiwan. She has a lot of works, especially novels.
